Welcome to the Diocese of Saint Thomas the Apostle

Thank you for visiting our website, we are the Diocese of Saint Thomas the Apostle, a diocese of The Old Catholic Church of North America, within The Old Catholic Church (TOCC).  Our Patriarchate has parishes on numerous continents, including Europe, Africa, Asia, South America, and North America. We serve the Western half of the United States, and like all of our parishes globally, we hold true to the teachings of the Apostles. We aim to spread the faith of the Early Christian Church and seek to provide hope in the modern world. We fully embrace the Seven Ecumenical Councils and faithfully adhere to the orthodoxy of the Early Church.

2 Thessalonians 2: 15 states, "Therefore, brethren, stand fast and hold the traditions which you were taught, whether by word or our epistle." In our diocese, we follow the traditions of the early Christian church, study the wisdom of the church fathers, and proclaim Christ Jesus as Lord and God (John 20:28).

Orthodox Old Catholics have a special place in our hearts for believers who may have lost their way, believers who have not understood the truth, and those who have never lived a truly Christian life. We profess that Christ Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life as identified in Sacred Scripture (John 14:6). And this is the message of hope that flows through the Gospel, shines a light on the path of salvation, and directs our steps towards God Himself. We live and share this message with love to those around us; that Jesus Christ bore our sins in His body on the cross, which is the reason why He took on human flesh. Through His many wounds and stripes we are healed and made whole.
