Archbishop Robert Burgess

Archbishop Bob Burgess is the Archbishop of the Diocese of Saint Thomas, under the jurisdiction of The Old Catholic Church of North America, a region of The Old Catholic Church (TOCC). His Apostolic Succession is traced back to Saint Thomas the Apostle (Mark 3:18), and he brings a wealth of spiritual wisdom, leadership, and knowledge to the Diocese. Archbishop Bob has a special heart for small ministries looking for spiritual direction, for believers who no longer attend Mass, and for nonbelievers who have never heard the message of hope found in the Gospel of Christ, in an easily understandable fashion. 

He has served Our Lord and Savior in a variety of different ministerial capacities, and has over forty years’ ministerial experience. Some of his previous responsibilities and roles include; Parish Administrator, Spiritual Director, Teacher of Sacred Scripture, Spiritual Director of Candidates for Holy Orders, Associate Priest/Pastor, and Lead Priest/Pastor.

His previous professional memberships include: The Order of St. Luke the Physician – Kitsap County Chapter Founder and Chaplain, Wyoming State Chaplain 1982-1985. Member Bishops Ecumenical Communion of Catholic and Apostolic Churches. Promise Keepers - Seattle Board of Directors for Ecumenical and Racial Reconciliation. Bremerton Ministerial Association.

His Volunteer Experience includes: Senior Chaplain – Central Kitsap County Fire Department, Bartimaeus Community Co-Founder, Kitsap County Concerts of Prayer, Founder of Operation Night Watch – Bremerton WA, Guest Teacher – Pastors Seminar – Multan Diocese, Church of Pakistan.

He is also a veteran, and served with the United States Army.
